There's no place like Las Vegas!

Every year we take a family vacation to Las Vegas... it’s a tradition……

Trust me when I say, there is no place like Vegas! The excitement that builds up before the trip is indescribable. The energy and anticipation is the best feeling ever! The planning of the “itinerary” which we never end up following is half the fun.

You see, Vegas is a huge adult playground in the middle of the desert, where anything is possible. The best part is you can be anyone you want to be cause you will never see any of those people again (you hope).

Remember that feeling of taking your shoes off to get into the ball pit at McDonalds? How about the first time you ever went to Kings Dominion… remember that feeling of being spoiled with food, games and of course rides!!! It’s kind of like that, but a zillion times better!!! No matter where I have been in the world I will always say there’s no place like Vegas! Check out a few of my faves…..

Last night in Vegas very sad :(

Baking Bread .....oldie but a goodie :") | VA,Wedding | Portrait Photographer

Eric & I made these loafs months ago... and they were oh so YUMMY!
Eric loves to bake... I love to eat what he bakes...lol :)  but we actually made this bread together.
Check out the honey butter drizzled on the top of the bread....can't you just smell it! There is nothing like making your own bread...no I don't mean with a bread machine people by hand. I can't wait to make oatmeal honey butter bread yum!

Meet Landon Fontana! The last time I photographed him was in back in the fall. My first thoughts were O-m-g!!! Landon is getting so big! I feel like it was just the other day we were taking his first portraits! Boy do they grow up fast! I still find it hard to believe that two of our sweetest friends created this little person! My husband and I have known Mitch & Maranda Fontana  for over a decade now. Time passes so fast!

 Lil' Landon is the sweetest little boy you ever want to meet! I just love being able to watch him grow up through my lens. O-m-g! I Love, Love Love....  Love him!

I am trying to be better about posting on my blog..... I have had a busy day today! I sent out my first Wedding album for a bride today! Crazy since I shot my first wedding several years ago..I could have never imagined making this a reality.For some reason it's been a emotional day happy but emotional all the same. I have been working around the clock trying to get my hands on everything I can that can help me grow as a photographer.... I think it took me this long to admit .... that I am afraid to fail.....I am afraid if I put everything I have in something and it doesn't work what then? What will everyone think? Why do I care what anyone thinks? I was always the girl who did what I wanted regardless of who liked it. I remember in high school when I dyed my hair pink how many people didn't talk to me or were afraid of me lol. I also remember that time of my life as being the happiest. So what was stopping me from being me?Within the last few couple of months I have battled this question over and over. I know I am a creative person. I know I am a good photographer.What's my problem?
 Why don't I JUST GO FOR IT!
My husband told me over and over.... "Do what you love don't go to a place you hate everyday and be miserable" ....and I thought omg ...he is right...Who cares what his family or my family or anyone thinks?!?
I can do this....if anyone can do this I can....

The ups man dropped of a new lens for me to play with! I have been so excited waiting for it to come. I am doing all I can to improve my craft. It's tough not knowing how to get started improving your skills but something I am willing to tackle. I read anything I can get my hands on and spend countless hours focusing all my energy on photography. I am blessed to have such an amazing best friend and soul mate supporting me.
